The Green Choice Project is a project approved and funded as part of Round 2 of the Australian Government's Jobs Fund — Local Jobs. The project provides outdoor green related environmental employment for unemployed youth, displaced workers and Indigenous jobseekers. This project is heavily supported by the Cairns Regional Council through opportunities to work on their marquee environmental sites, the Cattana Wetlands at Smithfield and the Red Arrow Walking Track in Edge Hill.

This project is supported by funding from the Australian Government.

Choice and our major partners Southern Cross Ten, 4CA and Zinc FM worked together from Monday 02 November through to Sunday 08 November 2009 with emphasis on selling our own 600ml bottled water product. The purpose of Choice Water Week was to increase the awareness of the services Choice provides to build social capital capacity within the Cairns community and create local jobs for people who have been displaced as a result of the downturn in the economy.

Grace is a 33ft timber day sailing Yacht originally built in 1928 by a Sydney based family, the Goddard's. Grace, as she has been named after one of the builders grand-daughters has been restored to new glory through a partnership between Choice, the Australian government and JSA members in Newcastle aimed at providing unemployed people with practical skills, work ethics and team-work experience.

One of the keys to continued quality service provision since inception in 1997 and keeping the community aware of our services has been the development of promotional materials relevant to the strengths and position of the company. This strategic activity allows Choice to get our message to participants, trading partners, funding bodies, stakeholders and the community.
