The Cairns operation takes full advantage of the flexibility Choice has to move and cater for the needs of the people we work with. We employ innovative, creative, challenging and flexible programs, projects, activities and initiatives that support the target groups we work with.
We encourage healthy choice making, positive thinking and responsible behaviour amongst the participants and assist them to become directly aware of the positive and negative impact of their choices, actions and decisions.
We work closely with accredited training partners the Tropical North Queensland TAFE and etrainu and continue to maintain the user friendly, non-threatening and rewarding learning environment we have created.
We have forged mutually beneficial and functional partnerships with many government departments and non government organisations including (but not limited too), QLD Department of Employment & Industrial Relations, QLD Department of Communities, QLD Department of Housing, QLD Department of Child Safety, QLD Department of Public Works, Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Mission Australia , Northern Skills Alliance, ITEC and CHR.
We appreciate the in kind support our media partners Southern Cross Ten, Hot FM & Sea FM provides to create greater awareness of Choices aims and objectives, whilst challenging the thought making process of the wider community through public education campaigns.
Since 1997 we have developed and maintained valuable community partnerships with existing service providers, local business and corporate citizens in Cairns, as such we embrace the opportunity to continue forming mutually beneficial and functional community partnerships aimed at increasing the health, skill base, wealth, vibrancy, harmony and safety of the Cairns community.
