Choice Business Australia Pty Ltd (referred to as Choice Business) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Choice Australia Management Ltd.

The objective of Choice Business is too generate commercial enterprise returns that increase the capacities and service deliveries of the not for profit Choice Australia Management. The enterprise activities that we become involved in will have similarities to the constitutional aims and objectives of Choice Australia Management Ltd.

Ballerz Café

The Ballerz Café was developed late in 2006 as a commercial based enterprise aimed at generating revenue to increase our capacities and service deliveries in the fields of community development, social justice, employment & training, early intervention and crime prevention.

1. 1. The theory behind Ballerz Café is to provide real controlled work experience for the participants on Cairns based programs who have interests in hospitality and customer service. In addition, the enterprise allows Choice to consolidate revenues from non project related activities, which will contribute towards the organizations longevity and future.

      In brief, whole of government do not see the responsibility of building safer, economical and vibrant communities as theirs alone. Ballerz Cafe provides an opportunity for the community to value add and contribute to the funding Choice generates to build and maintain safer, more economic, vibrant and healthier communities.

      The Ballerz Café AIM
      To provide work experience and paid employment opportunities for people participating on our Cairns based labour market programs.
      To generate non project related revenues which contributes towards the organizations longevity and future.

      The Ballerz Café VISION
      To develop a café culture that mirrors the successful model Choice has used since 1997

      The Ballerz Café STRATEGY
      Build a profile of a positive retreat for children and young people in the neighboring suburbs.
      Increase the awareness of the café to the students of Trinity Bay High School.
      Increase the awareness of the café to the participants and stakeholders of Cairns Basketball and Midnight Basketball.
      Work with our media partners Southern Cross Ten and Zinc FM to raise our profile within the community.

      The Ballerz Café is located at the Cairns Basketball complex on Hoare Street Cairns.

water by CHOICE

The water by CHOICE Project was developed late in 2006 as a commercial based enterprise aimed at generating revenue to increase our capacities and service deliveries in the fields of community development, social justice, employment & training, early intervention and crime prevention.

1. 1. The concept behind the water by Choice project is to provide an avenue for government departments, local business, private enterprise, corporate Australians and the man on the street to contribute collectively towards the costs of building a brighter future for everyday Australians by purchasing our products. Proceeds from sales of the 350ml/600ml/1ltr and 1.5ltr units will increase our capacities and service deliveries with emphasis on 'people working together to benefit others'.

      To recognize the support of water by Choice project founding partners we developed a series of public education campaigns including TV and radio commercials with our media partners Southern Cross Ten and Zinc FM and on various printed promotional materials. The public education campaigns promote the product, our aims and vision and the support of our founding partners.

      To continue generating awareness of healthy choice making via the product and product campaigns.
      To generate returns that add value to the community development, social justice, employment / training, early intervention, crime prevention and other labour market programs we facilitate.

      The water by Choice VISION
      To increase our capacities and service deliveries with emphasis on 'people working together to benefit others'.

      The water by Choice STRATEGY
      Work with existing Choice sponsors, supporters and partners to achieve the aim and vision.
      Introduce the product to new stakeholders.
      Use the significant kind support we have from Southern Cross Ten and Zinc FM to increase the awareness of the water by Choice project and our vision.

      Working together to benefit others and being fit and healthy is Choice.

Choice Training

Choice Business undertakes various forms of accredited and non accredited training. This includes urban and remote community training in life skills, IT, job preparation and activities that build self esteem, confidence and respect for self and others.
